The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) is one of the world's oldest, largest, and most prestigious science organizations.Founded in 1848, the AAAS has over 140,000 members and 300 affiliated organizations.

The AAAS publishes the weekly journal Science, sets standards for K-12 science education, and engages in a host of programs aimed at improving scientific education and increasing the public's understanding of science.

The Kinetic City project includes books, a weekly radio drama, classroom kits and now, the Kinetic City: Mission To Vearth after school program.
